A standard breakdown of how our children spend their time during PD days, summer, and winter breaks. A healthy mix of active play, child-directed learning, and quiet times.
Quiet morning table activities including board games, coloring, building structures in the manipulative room (Lego), and other low-energy quiet entry options.
Choice of outdoor playtime, centers, crafts, and child-directed experiences. On certain non-school days, off-site excursions and educational field trips are planned during this time.
Developing self-care routines with guided clean up, followed by a healthy lunchtime with friends. Group interaction and table manners are emphasized.
Transition to a calm environment with choice quiet/fine motor activities, reading, puzzles, and light table-top developmental games.
Weekly themed projects, park playtime, or organized sports and physical activities. Free play and movement between learning centers are encouraged. A healthy afternoon snack is served from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Off-site excursions may continue or be scheduled during this block.
Clean up of all centers and activity areas, gathering personal items, and transitioning to quiet wait-time games until parents arrive for pickup.
Children must be dropped off at the center no later than 8:45 AM on off-site excursion days. This ensures our educators can get everyone safely prepared (applying sunscreen, checking proper outdoor attire, taking attendance) to depart by 9:00 AM.
